Architectural and site review of a new 4,884 square foot duplex (replacing a duplex
destroyed by fire)

Staff presentation: Peter Gilli explained that the project is the reconstruction of a duplex
destroyed by fire. The design is the original duplex with a 720 square foot addition in the
rear. The front elevation matches other duplexes in the neighborhood. Staff recommends
that the stucco trim for the doors and windows be upgraded to wood trim.
Chairperson Stevens questioned the color of the garage door after a site visit revealing
neighboring doors painted brown. Mr. Thomson replied that he had not thought about the
color of the garage. A brown color was agreed upon.
David Doyle asked for clarification on staff recommendation. Peter Gilli replied that he
recommends approval of plans as submitted with addition of brown garage door.
