As we discussed, attached is the list of Cupertino Library program attendance >100 people in FY2013-14 at Community Hall. It shows 91 programs had attendance >100 or an average of 7.58 programs per month. You and I agreed that it would be helpful to have additional statistical input in advance of this evening's City Council meeting: 1. Complete list of# of programs and attendance in (-ommunity Hall for all Library programs; and 2. Complete list of# of programs and attendance in the Library's Story Room (being considered for expansion to a larger space or new "program room"). Gayathri, I will try to reach you by telephone as well but could you assemble the items 1 and 2 by 4pm this afternoon? Thanks and talk with you both soon. The Cupertino Library continues to be the busiest library in SCCLD, with over 2.5 million items circulated in Fiscal Year 2013- 14, and nearly 700 library programs, with over 40,000 people in attendance. Of those programs, 91 drew more than 100 people. Therefore, the library district is pleased to continue discussions with the city regarding adequate space for the continued ability to offer programs that appeal to large and small groups. In the recommended Civic Center Master Plan, the City of Cupertino recommended L1 option expands the existing Story Room to function as the Program Room to seat up to 100 people. The Library District appreciates the recommendation of the City Staff, and believes this will address the needs for most of the.programs. The Library District would also like to request the continued usage of Community Hall for programs . that would draw more than 100 people attendance. We look forward to working with the City of Cupertino to ensure that the Cupertino Library meets the needs of the residents of the Cupertino community. I am available for any future discussions regarding this topic.
