PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
At 7:04 p.m., Chair Michael Sanchez called the meeting to order in Conference Room C,
10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, California, and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairperson Michael Sanchez, Vice Chair Rajeswari Mahalingam and
Commissioners Russell Leong, and Diana Matley
Absent: Jessi Kaur
STAFF REPORT
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
OLD BUSINESS
1. Approved minutes of the regular meeting of May 19d', 2014. Motion passed
unanimously.
2. Art Catalog: Commission agreed to publish the map with what art is available
now once the budget is approved. Catalog will be finalized in July, printed in
September and presented to City Council by the end of the year. Chairperson
Sanchez will contact the city webmaster to arrange for catalog content to be put
online.
NEW BUSINESS
3. Distinguished Artist/Emerging Artist:
Distinguished Artist chosen is Lois Kershner.
Emerging Artist chosen is Philip Ma.
4. Funding/Grant for Fine Arts League of Cupertino for Fall Fest Art Show
The Fine Arts Commission received a request from chair of FALC to fund Fall
Fest Art Show. A completed grant application is required to obtain funding.
Commissioner Sanchez will notify FALC of the requirement.
COMMISSIONER REPORTS
5. Mayor's Meeting Schedule: 2nd Wednesday of each month, 4:30 p.m.
Jessie Kaur will attend the July 9th Mayor's Meeting, Raji Mahalingam is the

alternate. Russell Leong will attend on August 131h, Michael Sanchez will attend
on September 101h, Raji Mahalingam will attend on October 81h meeting, Diana
Matley will attend on November 12th.
Diana Matley reported that the Planning, TICC, Library, Parks and Recreation,
Public Safety and Fine Arts commissions were all represented at the last meeting
with updates on what each commission is working on.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned to the regular meeting on July 281h, 2014 at City Hall at 7:00
p.m.
