UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
3. Regarding cellular city-wide coverage the.TICC reviewed applications of open source tools that
Commissioner Broadwater brought in. Teri Gerhardt, a GIS Technician with the city, provided a
review of a tool called Open Signal that IT departments from other cities have recommended. The
City application to allow crowd sourced coverage information using the app was shown.
Commissioner Livingood raised a concern that the information gathered from this crowd sourced
application would be too informal and inconsistent if it relied on different people with subjective
capabilities (different phones, different services, etc)
4. Regarding the working group sub-team update, there was no update from the cellular.group. It
was decided that Commissioner Jimura will be added to the cellular sub-team to review proposals.
