The purpose of this evaluation was to determine if the Enphase Micro -inverter Models M215 and M250 could be used to provide the system ground path thru the component's Engage Cabling for the specified racking system. Testing performed per project URC140710B demonstrated that the Enphase M250 Micro -inverter mounting bracket was properly bonded to the Solar Mount (SM) PV Mounting System (reference TUV Rheinland Report 31440038.001). Previous testing for the Unirac SunFrame Microrail (SFM) PV Mounting System (reference TUV Rheinland Report 31440011.001) indicated that the Enphase Model 250 Micro -inverter mounting bracket, in conjunction with the component's Engage Cabling (i.e. trunk cable) had successfully passed relevant LIL Subject 2703 requirements for electrical bonding and grounding. Subsequent evaluation of the Enphase M215 Micro -inverter indicates the component design incorporates the identical mounting bracket and trunk cable to the Enphase M250 Microinverter, allowing for qualification by similarity. Consequently the component ground provided by the Enphase M215 and M250 Micro -inverter designs meet the safety requirements of UL Subject 2703 for Grounding the Unirac Solar Mount (SM) PV Mounting System when properly installed per the associated installation manuals (see illustration below). All suitable Grounding methods are detailed in the Grounding Options section of the Unirac Solar Mount (SM) Installation Manual.
