MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at the Marianist Center, 22622 Marianist Way, Cupertino,
CA, at 2:00 p.m.
Commissioners present: Stephen Beard, Diane Ikeda, Sheila Mohan, Janet Mohr, Mary
Sievert, and Rita Young. Commissioners absent: Robert Lerner. Staff members present:
City Clerk Kimberly Smith.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
None.

RECEPTION FOR DISTINGUISHED ARTIST OF THE YEAR
Brother Gary Morris welcomed the members of the Fine Arts Commission, the City
Council, and friends.
Chairperson Diane Ikeda presented Brother Joseph Aspell with a plaque honoring him as
Distinguished Artist of 1996.
Brother Joseph thanked the Commissioners, the City of Cupertino, and the community for
their support.

ADJOURNMENT
At 2:30 p.m. the meeting was adjourned. A reception was held immediately following the
meeting.
