Economic Development Team Meeting
October 16, 1996 Summary
Present at the meeting were: John Statton, Steve Dowling, Bert Viskovich, Lauralee Sorensen,
Dorothy Steenfott, Donna Lawler, Tom Hall, Carol Atwood and Doug Huston.
Carol updated the group on the DeAnza project and Dorothy went over the information in the
binders we received from DeAnza. The information will be incorporated into our site visits and
forwarded to other agencies as necessary, e.g., sheriffs office.
The group went through each of the projects listed on the Team Projects list to include contact
names for each subcommittee and project completion times.
Over the next two weeks, members of the committee should contact Dorothy with their choices
of five companies they would want to visit each month. Members may invite others to join them
on the visits.
Steve Toler gave the group a demonstration of the web site. The web site is expected to be
available by December I.

d) Dorothy attended a demonstration of the ACT software. The software appears to have
everything that would be needed to maintain a database for our site visits, but we are still
investigating other software packages that are available.
3. Streamlining.
