The Web site committee has been continuing development work and has the following update: . Hired a graphic/web designer to design our site based on our mission and goals for the site. They have been instructed to put together a clean, professional-looking site that promotes the hi-tech nature of our community. They will put together a home page and a master template for all second-tier pages on our site. Cost is estimated to be less than $3,000. . The City will probably not be able to register WWW.CUPERTINO.GOV as the domain name. INTERNIC (which is the body that regulates domain names) is not allowing agencies other than Federal Agencies from registering with the GOV extension. We will explore registering both of the following names that appear to be open: WWW.CUPERTINO.ORG and WWW.CLCUPERTINO.CA.US. Feedback from certain internet service providers should be received by October 15 on costs and ability to host our site (this includes City Net) so that a decision can be made.
