Monoxide alarms. When the valuation of additions, alterations, or repairs to existing dwelling units exceeds
$1.000-00, CkC- Section 8314 and CBC Sections 907.2.11.5 and 420.6 require that Smoke Alarms and/or Carbon

Compliance of the Enphase AC Combiner
Background
The Enphase AC Combiner with Envoy -S consolidates interconnection equipment into a single enclosure and
streamlines i installations by providing a consistent, pre -wired solution for residential applications. The AC
Combiner is a UL Listed product that is intended both for indoor and outdoor installations. The intent of this document
is to demonstrate the compliance of the Enphase AC Combiner and avoid unnecessary inspection and alterations to
a UL Listed product.

The AC Combiner is marked with a UL Listed sticker on the inside of the enclosure to identify it as such. The UL
Certificate of Compliance is available for download on the Support section of Enphase.com:

NEC Compliance
The term Listed is defined under Article 100 of the NEC:
Listed. Equipment, materials, or services included in a list published by an organization that is acceptable to the
authority having jurisdiction and concerned with evaluation or products and services, that maintains periodic
inspection of production of listed equipment or materials or periodic evaluation services, and whose listing states that
either the equipment, material, or service meets appropriate designated standards or has been tested and found
suitable for a specified purpose.
If the contents or individual components of the AC Combiner are questioned, Enphase urges the Authority Having
Jurisdiction to reference Article 90.7.
NEC Article 91 Examination of Equipment for Safety:
It is the intent of this Code that factory installed internal wiring or the construction of equipment reed not be inspected
at the time of installation of the equipment, except to detect alterations or damage, if the equipment has been listed
by a qualified electrical testing laboratory that is recognized as having the facilities described in the preceding
paragraph and that requires suitably for installation in accordance with this Code.
Conclusion
