CC 04-18-2017 Item No. 81 Lauren Sapudar From:Peggy Griffin Sent:Monday, April 17, 2017 9:12 PM To:City Council; dstillman@cupertino.org Cc:City Clerk; Subject:2017-04-18 City Council Meeting Agenda Item 8-Parking Permit on Randy/Larry/Merritt Drive - PLEASE ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS Dear Mayor Vaidhyanathan, Vice Mayor Paul, City Council members and Mr. Stillman, This email is in regard to tomorrow night's City Council agenda item #8 to designate a preferential parking zone on Randy Lane, Larry Way and a portion of Merritt Drive. I am in favor of this designation. BUT as a resident who lives on Randy Lane, I would like to have the questions listed below answered as part of tomorrow nights discussion. If Item #8 passes and becomes law, everyone affected should receive something in writing from the City that explains how this permit parking works. Specifically, it should answer these questions: 1. How many permits do we get per house? 2. How do we get these permits? 3. Do these permits need to be renewed? If so, how often? If so, does it cost anything? Who pays? 4. What if I buy a new car or sell my old car? 5. How do we get permits for occasional service people (plumbers, delivery people, etc.)? 6. What about regular (weekly, monthly, etc) maids or gardeners? 7. For homes that are rented and then they get new renters, how does this work? 8. Who do I contact if there is a problem? 9. When will this go into effect? I would like to thank the City staff for working with our neighborhood to come up with this reasonable solution. Please include this email as part of the public record associated with Agenda Item #8 of tomorrows' Cupertino City Council meeting dated 2017-04-18. Thank you.
