We are deeply concerned by the consequences of having this booster installed in our neighborhood, and the details of our response are enclosed for your kind perusal. We would like to note that twenty two of our neighbors have signed the response petition and that more would support our position, if the need may arise. We urge to deny the permit and instead make a recommendation to install the antenna away from residential dwellings. Blanney and Pacifica drive, our deep concerns are as follows: 1) Some of the undersigned neighbors are cancer survivors, and given that none- ionizing microwave radiation emitted by these DAS antennas is known to cause cancer,we are deeply concerned that this proposed installation posses significant health risk for these cancer survivals. 2) The proposed installation at top of existing PGE pole is at same height as many nearby homes second floor bedrooms, making those homes bedrooms directly exposed to RF radiation emitted from planed cellular antenna, exposure is 12 hours a day x 365 days a year.Claim that ground level radiation is minimal does not apply in this case,as we live and sleep at the same level as the proposed antenna. 3) The proposed location,on top of P&G pole, is in public right of way which is used daily by many students walking to and from Eaton elementary school, further more the proposed Antenna is close to Eaton school where students spend many hours a day, 5 days a week, hence exposing young kids to health risks. 4) We purchased our house in Cupertino because of the highly valued and respected neighborhood,we paid our hard earned money for the house hopping that this neighborhood is safe and calm, cellular antennas close to our house will have significant impact on our house value and overall properties values in close proximity to proposed installation. 5) In our small neighborhood close to the proposed installation we do not have any issues with cellular reception, therefore we do not want cellular antennas too close to us. 6) Couple of years back Cupertino residents opposed Verizon plans to install antennas in high schools,in Cupertino high, and Lynbrook,we were very concerned back then and we are very concerned now, that this installation is a miss-use of public areas for corporate interest, while creating health risks and impacting Cupertino residents best interests. 7) Verizon can look somewhere else,a bit far from residential areas, and far from schools for such installations. 8) Approving Verizon plan will open way for other installations in future, and will increase health risk for other Cupertino residents. i i Therefore,we would request you to deny the permit, and instead recommend Verizon choose a public place far from residents houses or schools, where these risks can be either mitigated or avoided. We thank you for your understanding and attention.
