NO PERMIT #Citil of Cuperti"o
TO: John Busto, Chief Building Inspector
DATE: March 4, 1975
FROM: Ed Murphy, Electrical Inspector
SUBJECT: Inspection of Commercial Structure at 21730 Stevens Creek Blvd.
This structure is an all metal typical service station. The building measures
24'0" x 42'0" and is situated 20 feet from the rear property line at the south-
west corner of Pasadena Ave. and Stevens Creek Blvd. The building has a metal
corrugated roof.
The structure is no longer being used for a dispensing unit for gasoline or
oil, and all pumps and interior equipment for this purpose has been removed.
The building will house a commercial business dealing in new and used tires.
The structure is safe and in good repair except for paint and general clean up.
Plumbing
The structure has two operating rest rooms that are intact, however, need a
general clean up.
Electrical
The electrical is controlled by a 100 ampere service disconnect and fed by an
overhead service. In accordance with Ordinance No. 331, the service should be
underground. However, before power can be permitted either by overhead or
underground, the following steps will be taken to bring the building up to a
more safe condition:
'1. All wiring other than conduit will be removed.
2. Junction boxes shall be securely mounted to supporting members.
3. All knock -out seals that are missing shall be replaced.
4. All wiring not in use shall terminate in an approved junction box
or be removed.
5. The main panel index to be corrected and the breakers shall be properly
marked.
6. All fixture boxes shall be covered with blank covers or an approved
fixture.

Parking Lot
The asphalt has been removed in an area of about 6'0" x 1210" near the front
apron to the sales area. There is a depression at this point, and I feel this
should be reworked and covered with asphalt to eliminate some one from tripping
and falling.
The structure is usable for a commercial business, such as intended, and after
the above corrections have been made, will not be a hazard to the public who
uses these facilities.
