Council requested the the description of Parks and Recreation activities Parks & Rec.
be amended to include historical and cultural matters.

Council suggested that tbe buelget include a column showing the amounts
t¡~t had been budgeted for the present fiscal year as well aa the col-
umn ahowing expenditures for the year.
By consensus, Council requested that a discussion on prioritization
for the Planning Department be agendized for June 16, 1980.

A discussion of Planning fees will be agendized for a Council meeting
in July or August.

A resou~ce study in relationship to disaster preparedness will be dis-
cussed at the meeting of June 16, 1980.
TI1e Director of Finance will present Council with a report regarding the
use of interest earned from special revenues.

MINIJ'TES OF THE KAY 28, 1980 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
It was moveel by Counc. Sparks, seconded by Counc. Plungy and pa..eel
uDanimoualy to allocate an additional $3,000 for the City'a anniversary
celebration. Council bas authorized $3,000 as the I18xi_ amount tG
b2 used for this celei>ration. Any remaining moniea will be returned
to the General Fund.
Tbe Administrative Servicea Officer will prepare reports for Council
regarding the subsidized taxi program and workers' compenaation insurance.
It was moved by Counc. Plungy, seconded by Counc. Sparks and passed with
Counc. O'Keefe dissenting and Counc. Gatto absent to authorize $1,200
for department head conference and meeting expenses and requested that
other management accounts for conference expenses be adjusted accordingly.

The Director of Finance will present a recommendation regarding reducing
the bonded indebtedneas at the June 16, 1980 Ccuncil meeting.
It was moved by Counc. Sparks, seconded by Counc. Rogers and passed
with Counc. O'Keefe dissenting and Counc. Gatto absent to adjust Account
No. 60S.10, Legislative and Legal Services, City Council, to allow $1,940
for the Mayor and $1,500 for each other Counc11member.
The Director of Finance will verify the allocation of funds for dental insurance
for Councilmembers for the 1980-81 fiscal year.
The Mayor requeated that the annual Mayor's Dinner be neld early in
June at Gifu.
Commissioners' Former Councilmembers still residing in Cupertino will be invited to
dinner attend the next Commissioners' Dinner.
Election

It vas movej by Counc. Rogers, seconded by Counc. Sparks and passed
with Counc. O'Keefe abstaining and Counc. Gatto absent to approve
allocating funds for a consolidated election in case need of one arises.
The City Manager informed Council tnat he may scnedule an execuclve
session regarding personnel matters for June 2, 1980.
