Funding Sources1. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program‐The US Departmentof Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually allocates entitlementgrants to local jurisdictions for community development activities.Jurisdictions typically must have a population of 50,000 or more to qualifyas an entitlement jurisdiction. This will be the City’s fifteenth year as anentitlement jurisdiction receiving a CDBG grant directly from HUD.2. General Fund Human Service Grants (HSG) Program‐The City Councilannually allocates funds from the General Fund to human service agencies.3. Below Market‐Rate (BMR) Affordable Housing Fund (AHF)‐The BMR AHFreceives its revenue from the payment of housing mitigation fees fromresidential and non‐residential (office, hotel, retail, commercial, researchand development (R&D) and industrial) development.
