Building Department Comments:
1. Comment: Dimension height of movable handles for each machine that is operated by
customers.
Response: All new machines, Icee machines and Freestyle Soda Machines will have a
maximum height of 48" for all movable handles. See Revision 2 on detail 1/A3 Elevation.
2. Comment: Clearly indicate existing Restrooms with all required dimensions. 11 B-601.
Response: All restrooms are existing accessible restrooms. See added sheet AO Overall
existing plan for location of existing restrooms and area of scope of work. See added
sheet A5 for enlarged detail of existing restroom plan and elevations and required
accessible dimensions.
3. Comment: Please indicate if carbon dioxide (CO2) detector will be installed in close proximity
of carbon dioxide (CO2) supply.
Response: CO2 supply is existing with all requirements in place and only noted on plans
for location to include new syrup racks near same location. See Equipment schedule for
note clarifying existing.

Fire Department Plan Review Comments
Plans are approved, subject to the following comments:
1. Comment #1: Alter the fire sprinkler and / or fire alarm systems as needed by new partitions
and ceilings, soffits, etc.. Submit shop drawings (3 sets) and a permit application.....
Response: No new work to existing sprinkler system will be required. No new partitions
are part of this scope of work and area of soffit work does not affect existing sprinker
layout. Information is provided to the GC in case of any changes or new discoveries.
2. Comment #2: All portions of the building shall be within 75 feet of a fire extinguisher. The
minimum size of the extinguisher shall be 2-A:10-BC (CFC/ 906)
Response: Scope of work is to only add new Freestyle soda machines and countertop
Icee machines to the existing main concession stand. This will not change the layout or
path of travel of the existing plan. Existing quantity, type and location of Fire
Extinguishers will meet the requirements.

Plumbing Review
Item 1 -Page P 1 of the plumbing plan lists floor sink on plumbing fixture schedule but floor sinks
are not found on plan.Provide a plumbing drawing to show location of floor sinks.
Floor sinks have been removed from the plumbing schedule on sheet P1.
Item 2-Provide an indirect connection/air gap from the waste pipe of each piece of equipment that
generates liquid waste(two times the diameter of the waste pipe)to a floor sink.
Note 4 has been added to sheet P1 to indicate the disposal of the equipment waste to the
existing trench drain.
