The Need
Traffic was identified as the most important
issue facing Cupertino in the 2017 Community
Survey
Traffic congestion around schools during
pickup/drop off is creating frustration and
safety concerns
Parents have been requesting assistance with
carpooling
Pilot Solution
Implement a tool that provides an easy, sustainable,
and reliable way for parents to form and manage
walk, bike, or car “kid-pools”

The City will provide funding for the onboarding fee, driver’s
license verification, and optional background check for the first
500 users.
