It is used with a solid or stranded 6AWG to 14AWG copper wire, or two 10AWG to 12AWG copper wires, to provide a continuous ground on roof or ground mounted solar systems. Unlike traditional lay -in lugs, the WEEB Lug does not require surface preparation on rail or module to install. The WEEB Lug is installed using a 1/4-20 stainless steel screw which tightens the WEEB, allowing the specialized teeth to embed into anodized aluminum, galvanized steel, or any electrically conductive metal to establish a gas tight electrical connection. The tin-plated Lug assures minimum contact resistance and protection against corrosion. The copper wire is clamped by a 1/4-28 stainless steel screw, which is horizontal to the tang for easy access when mounted under a PV module. The low profile of the WEEB Lug allows it to be installed in a variety of positions and comes with hardware to mount it to a rail or through a 1/4 inch clearance hole. - Material: 304 stainless steel, tin-plated copper, outdoor rated Low profile design • Multiple equipment ground conductor allowance: One 14 AWG to 6 AWG or two 10 AWG, two 12 AWG y ' • Listed to ANSi/UL 467 by Intertek ETL s • Xc'a 4 SOLAR DEPOT 800.822.4041 Contact us at: 04o.m.4700 www!wfe-jic.com Iti QM ($OD) 967-6917 ,? , Advancing renewable Technology er WEEB Washerr Electrical Equipment Bond The WEEB line of products is designed to bond solar PV modules to mounting structures and create an electrical path to ground. WEEBs eliminate the need for older, more costly grounding methods and greatly reduce the amount of labor and materials used in installations. The innovative WEEB design removes the need to run ground wire to each individual module and eliminates the need for surface preparation on anodized aluminum components.' to install, WEEBs are placed between PV modules and mounting rails at clamping points or at bolted connections. When anti -seize is applied and the hardware is tightened down to the appropriate torque spec, the WEEBs' specialized teeth embed into anodized aluminum, galvanized steel, or any electrically conductive metal to establish a gas tight electrical connection. When used in conjunction with a WEEB Lug, the entire solar installation becomes safely and reliably grounded: SOLAR. When combined with Class A mounting systems our modules meet the photovoltaic fire system rating of Class A. Module Types There are up to 15 different module types classified by UL. Types are defined by their construction characteristics such as glass thickness, EVA thickness, back sheet thickness and fire performance. Testing Criteria For Class A testing (the most stringent) the module is positioned to simulate mounting to a ballasted system or sloped roof at 22 -degrees and exposed to calibrated flame and wind from a standard distance. The flame is continuously applied to the bottom of the module for 10 minutes. Passing Criteria In orderto pass the spread of flame test: M No part of the module can be blown or falloff the deck in the form of flaming or glowing brands ® No portion of the module or roof deckthat forms part of the building can fall away in the form of glowing particles ® The flame cannot spread laterally on the top surface or intermediate channel such as the space between the module and a roof ® Flame may not spread beyond the specified distance: TESTING CLASS Class A Class 8 Class C Results Sunmodule Plus and Pro -Series: Type 1 Sunmodule Pro -Series XL: Type 1 Sunmodule Protect: Type 3 FLAME SPREAD DISTANCE (ft) r 73 FLAME SPREAD DISTANCE (m) WMA 2.4 3.9 When combined with a Class Akm i' !rstem our modules meet the photovoltaic fire system Class A requirement. m m:' CD rr TECHNICAL BULLETIN m ems n_ `• C tm It O N t-!.
