I ROLL CALL Councilmen Present: Councilmen Absent: Others Present: Lazaneo, Pelosi, Saich Benetti, Nathanson City Manager, City Clerk II Ordinance No. 145 City of Cupertino Prohibiting The Construction of Swimming Pools Which May Be In Conflict With The Proposed Ordinance For Swimming Pools. Moved by Councilman Saich that Ordinance 145 be adopted; Sec- onded by Councilman Lazaneo. AYES: Lazaneo, Pelosi, Saich NAYS: None ABSENT: Benetti, Nathanson MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 III Ordinance No. 144 City of Cupertino Prohibiting Certain Land Uses For Multiple Dwelling Apartment Districts Which May Be In Conflict With The Proposed Zoning Ordinances And Declaring The Urgency Thereof. Moved by Councilman Saich that Ordinance 144 be enacted; Sec- onded by Councilman Lazaneo. AYES: Lazaneo, Pelosi, Saich NAYS: None ABSENT: Benetti, Nathanson MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 IV Railway Express Agency Moved by Councilman Lazaneo that the letter of protest to the Public Utilities Commission relative to Railway Express Agency service area be withdrawn by the City of Cupertino; Seconded by Councilman Saich. AYES: Lazaneo, Pelosi, Saich NA YS: None ABSENT: Benetti, Nathanson MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 Moved by Councilman Lazaneo that the Railway Express Agency service area be approved as submitted in the Railway Express Agency letter of August 24, 1960, with boundaries as follows: Stelling Road on the west, Homestead Road on the north, City Limits on the east and south; Seconded by Councilman Saich. AYES: Lazaneo, Pelosi, Saich NAYS: None ABSENT: Benetti, Nathanson MOTION CARRIED: 3-0 V Councilman Saich referred to the striping of City Streets and roads. He proposed that the double lines be erased in certain places in order to allow access to driveways without the nec- essity of crossing a double line. It was agreed to handle this matter at the administrative level. VI Cupertino Street Light District; Discussion and Decision post- poned to allow further study.
