III Fremont Union High School Dlstrict site, Nathanson property, south
side of Hmestead Road.
A. C. Stevens, Jr., Superintendent of the District, stated that
he has no knowledge of the Mary Avenue extension.
The school Superintendent was given maps showing the alignment
of Mary Avenue. Construction of the road as shown on City maps
would require the school district to re-design their developement
plan for the high school. The Superintendent stated he would
consult further with his architect.
Resolution 192 of the City of Cupertino, adopted November 2,
1959, requests that the State of California, Division of High-
ways, add to and make part of "the freeway agreement' with map
dated August 15, 1959, the extension of Mary Avenue between
Homestead Road and Stevens Creek B1d. as shown on the exhibit
map attached.
IV Recreation
Melvin Dunfield of the Recreation Committee proposed a recreation
program making use of the high school gymnasium on Friday nights.
The Mayor instructed the City Manager to contact the proper par-
ties in connection WJ.th the program. The Recreation Committee
has the endorsement of the City Council on the subject.
V Ordinance #144 (Revised), Prohibiting Certain Land Uses for Mul-
tiple Dwelling Apartment Districts, R-2-H and R-3-H, Which May
Be In Confl~t With Proposed Zoning Ordinance And Declaring The
Urgency Thereof.
Ordinance read.
Moved by Councilman Saich that Ordinance #144 (Revised) be enacted;
Seconded by Councilman Benetti.

Moved by Councilman Benetti that Ordinance #144 (Revised) be amend-
ed to eliminate in Section 2:1 (i) the words "and at least one half
(t) parking space shall be provided for each dwelling unit. Park-
ing space shall not be provided in the required front yard"; Sec-
onded by Councilman Jewett.

approved4 lots 16 through26 to be single story duplex, lots 35
through 5 to be one story fourplex, the duplex lots to be 8500
sq. ft. in area; Seconded by Councilman Benetti.

between Calabazas Creek and East Estates Drive. Approved by
Planning Commission.
Moved by Councilman Saich that theCity grant approval of tenta-
tive map, Rousseau, between Calabazas Creek and East Estates
Drive south side of Stevens Creek Blvd. subject to the four
conditions of the Planning Commission recommendation, minutes
of September 26, 1960, plus signalization of Wolfe and Stevens
Creek Blvd, the sub-divider to pay half the cost of same; Sec-
onded by Councilman Benetti.

ordinance re-zoning the subject property, per application and
approval of City; Seconded by Councilman Lazaneo.

Moved by Councilman Lazaneo that Resolution 380 be enacted;
Seconded by Councilman Jewett.

XI Fremont Union High School District; letter over signature of
A. C. Stevens, Jr., Superintendent, addressed to the City of
Cupertino and requesting approval of 52 acres south west corner
of Homestead Road and Blaney Avenue as a school site.
Moved by Councilman Lazaneo that the City Manager write the
Fremont Union High School District that the Mariani property
has been presented to the Planning Commission in an application
for re-zoning, now under way, and that the City is alarmed at
the request for school use of the subject property; Seconded by
Councilman Benetti.
