meeting in full. Minutes were approved as read.

L. Ordinances for final adoption:
Planning Commission Ordinance 002-a, as revised was presented to
the Council for ratification. Moved by Councilman Saich, secended
by Councjlman Nathanson, Ordinance oo2-a be adopted, carried
unanimously.
B. CITY LIHIT SIGNS

Limit sign prices s.t ,16.00 each from an Or.,klcnd sii;"Il company,
and requested a delay of decision. ~fter general discussien,
it was moved by Ceuncilnk,n Meyerholz, socon(1cd by Councilman
Saich, California hutomobile hss0ciation should install four
Cupertino City Limit signs, a purchase order to be prepared
for the Finance Chc.irm1m' s sicndurc by the Secretary for
these signs, billin¿ to be pl¡:ced on an open account, upon
approval by Calif~rnia ..utomobilc ..ssociation.

In the absence of Councilman Wilson, Councilman Nathanson stated

No specific mention was made of City insurance durin¿ Cünür~l
discussion c0ncerning a revolving fund which could be made avail-
able thru the bank at 4% interest. Councilman Meyerholz reported
subvention moneys will be avaiÞble FebruÐrY 1956, and further
that Cupertino will bo on the tax asscsmmnt rolls as of 7/1/56,
m.r.king the City eligible to borrow monoy from tho County of S~nta
Clara.

Joint Moeting with Planning Commission, nanning Commission Chairman
B1¡rrol LoonÐrd stated there has been an increase in Commercial

The proposed flanning Commission budget was orally presented to the
City Counoil, totalling ~1500. The following is the proposed alloca-
tion of moneys: ::"300,00 - Maps, photostats; ~600.00 _ Frofossional
services; $300.00 - Notices and special services; ~300.oo _ Misoellan-
eous expenses.
v. NEW BUSINESS
A. Police applicant, Mr. ~nqy niemer cancelled his hearinb.
B. Councilmen Lirldenmeyer, Nathanson and Saich conferred with Business
Agent Sam Miller and Superintendent of Schools D. Sedgwick con-
corning a ppssiblo option to purchase the Cupertino Union School
for a civio center. Because of the fact the proposed purohase by
the City might have to become a bond issue, it was moved by Coun-
cilman Nathanson a letter to the Board or Trustees requesting an
opinion from the County Council regarding the propriety of such
an option, further requesting tho proper procedure to be followed.
Seconded by Councilman Saich and carried 4 - o.
C. ReadinG of Business LicensinG Ordinance postponed until 12/27/55.
D. Statements for services rendcred were read by Finance Chairman
Meyerholz. Moved by Councilman Nathanson the Council approve bills
for future payment and place in acoounts payable. Seconded by
Councilman Saich and carried 4 - O.
E. No report from Road Commissioner Saich.
F. Report of Police and Fire Chief Nathanson postponed until after
informal discussion scheduled for 7:00 }~, 12/27/55.
G. BuildinG and Health Inspector Wilson was absent, No report.
H. Joint Council and Planning Commissi0n mcetinc held after recess.
I. The Secretary was instructed to purchase a Christmas tree for the
City and a barometer for the Firehouse personnel for kindnesses
extended.

Moved by Councilman Meyerholz this matter be postponed, resolution
to be placed on file. Seconded by C,'uncilman Salch, carried 4 _ CI.
2. Use permit for a small business requested by Stanley C. Jarvis,
10237 S. Blaney. Moved by Councilman Meyerholz, seconded by
Councilman Nathanson and carried unanimously this request be re-
ferred to Planning Commission for investigation and study.
3. Invitation frl)m the Snnta C18ra Co. ~'lood Control and Conservation
District to Cl)uncilmcn to attend meetinc_ Councilman Hi!yerholz
may be able to attend,
