CC 06-05-2018 Exhibit Item No. 13 Appointment of Cupertino's Interim City ManagerFrom:Ignatius Y. Ding To:Darcy Paul Cc:City Council; City Clerk; City Attorney"s Office Subject:Appointment of Cupertino"s Interim City Manager for Tuesday"s Consent Calendar Date:Monday, June 04, 2018 5:31:30 PM ** This is to request to please this letter into the official city records for future reference. Dear Mayor Paul, Given the questionable history of Amy Chan with various developers and in particular with Sand Hill Property, Cupertino might as well offer the interim city manager job to Peter Pau, Mike Rhodes, Sandra James or Michael Chang directly to bypass the middleman altogether with!! What a joke!! She is as bad or worse than Aarti Shrivastava, the known culprit in past aiding and abiding blatant violations of city codes by developers, for this appointment. Does the City Council ever take conflict of interest and past "performance" into account in hiring? If not, we need a "For Sale" sign in front of our city hall to make it clear the place is no longer open for public service. Ignatius Y.
