Mayor Jackson called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.lII. in the Council
Chamber of City Hall.

1. Consideration of the West Sau JosP. deannexation matter pending befor
LAFCO.
Jo Celio thanked Cupertino and expressed her opinion that th~ latest pro-
posal was a good cOlllprOllise.
It was moved by Counc. O'Keefe, seconded by Counc. !Ieyers and passed unan
imously that areas A, B and C of the August, 1976 San Jose/Cupertino
Boundary Study Background Report. excluding commercial area fronting on
Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road located ?n the west side between Bollinger and
the north right-of-way line of the West Valley Corridor, and 3dding the
area north of Bollinger (parcels #1 and #2), be transf~rred to Cupertino,
Fees or agreements that San Jose has collected ~r negotiated with develop
ers relating to opecific improvements to properti2s that are to be tr~ns-
f~rred should accrue to the benefit of Cupertino. The area should be
transferred as quickly as possible, principally before January 1. 1979.
Council encouraged staffs of Cupertino and San Jose to co~rdinate planni
physical improvements, private driveway accesses and signal light instal-
lations along Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.lII.
