Present: Meyers, O'Keefe, Roaers, Sparks, Mayor Jackson Staff Present: City Manager Quinlan Director of Administrative Services Ryder Director of Parks and Recreation Butler Director of Public Works Viskovich Assistant City Engineer Whitten City Attorney Adams The City Clerk presented the results on the bid opening on September 28 for the readvertised portions of the Senior Citizens Center Project. This then was followed by the submiss!on of recommendations by the Director of Public Works. The recommendation was for the awarding of a series of contracts which, including a $20,000 contingency, brought the cost of the center to $591,587. This would require an additional appropriation of $95,240. After a consensus of the Council on preference to proceed with the project it was moved by Counc. O'Keefe, seconded by Counc. Meyers and passed unan- imously to defer the source of funding for the additional appropriation to the next Council lIIeeti~~. Rogers and passe¿ u~an- imously that contracts be awarded as recommended by the Director of P,mlic Works in his memorandum dated September 29, 1978 for Contracts No. 1 through 15, and that an additional $95,240 be allocated to the total c<st of the proj ect.
