Tom Walters called meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.

1. Emergency Management: o David Flamm- presented documents from Op Area Council meeting including USGS
Risk assessment, La Nina, StrikeTeam Status, Work Plan -Action: Tom W. to scan and make available.
LHMP meetings 2nd Wednesday of month open to any interested. San Bernardino Co. Fire best practices shelter information brought back to County OES; EMPG 2016
closing and 2017 beginning looking for regional projects; Flood plan has been approved and will be distributed to jurisdictions for adoption. o Joe Guizzardi reported: Cupertino training completed (160 employees) for ICS100,
G606. Distributed flyers for Executive Staff training for Sept 22. Elected Officials training should be available Sept or October 2016. o Louay Tom- Reported County has selected Everbridge as the mass notification system. 2. Community Education:
o Captain Denise Gluhan - Reported Cupertino residents: 10 attended the CERT Academy and 15 Personal Emergency Preparedness class; CERT and PEP flyer
left for posting. L.I.F.E. product announced for resident’s medical documents. CERT Refresher trainings will be starting in 2017. B. Citizen Corps Reports

4. OLD BUSINESS
A. Citizen Corps Training Calendar submitted and approved. B. Training Update Karen Levy, 92% of City employees have completed ICS100 and
SEMS, next step is to meet with City Manager to discuss next trainings, future trainings are to be class room style for employee interaction
C. Work Program Committees Tom Walters, restarted these committees and committees are to begin reporting at next Disaster Council meeting, attendees broke out in committees
