Application HC-5I,441.1 - B.A.S. Homes, Inc. requesting approval of sound barrier architecture and landacaping for a residential development located adjacent to and westerly of Foothill Boulevard opposite the intersection of Alpine Drive and Foothill Boulevard. Recommended for approval. It was moved by Counc. Meyers, seconded by Counc. Sparks and passed unaD imously to approve Application HC-51,44l.1. STAFF REPORTS 37. General Plan Consolidation Study - Planning Commission recommenda- tion concerning jobs/housing imbalance. It was the consensus of the Council to direct the Planning Commission to evaluate reclassification of lIIixed land use areas to specific land use category. It was moved by Counc. Meyers, seconded by Counc. O'Keefe and passed un- animously to evaluate reclassification of density ranges for residential land use designations to higher density. The areas of study are not under a moratorium and applications may be submitted on the property. RECESS: 9:15-9:25 p.m. It was moved by Counc. Rogers, seconded by Counc. O'Keefe and passed unani~~usly to delete reclassification of lands planned exclusively for industrial/professional office, and/or commercial uses to residen- tial as an option. Staff was directed to obtain a copy of SB 1664. Mayor Jackson will send a letter of welcome and support to Senior AdvocaLY Services. A brief discussion followed regarding the impact the passage of the Jarvis-Gann amendment would hav~ on the City. City Manager Quinlan will discuss a proposed police/fire study with the City Manager of Saratoga. This, and the effect Jarvis-Gann may have on the level of library service, will be studied at Council budget meetings.
