Based on the CBC Code Section 1203.2 Ventilation, exception # 3, we request City to consider an alternate to the ventilation request based on the atmospheric or climatic conditions of this area. This Project is based on California Climate Zone 4, which is not a severe weather of extreme summer or winter conditions. The Climate zone 4 does not require ventilation in Flat roof conditions. In lieu of ventilation of the flat roof, we propose providing insulation per T-24 Energy code shown on the approved set of plans and a vapor retarder.
