Counc. Jackson wClUld like to put on _e agenda in the near future the
effectiveness of the garage sale ordinance, with possible disenactmene
of ie. Tho! Ciey Clerk said 29 permits were issued in 1975. There were
110 sign violations in regard co garage sales. The Planning Direceor
said the Code !nforc_ent Officer has used this ordinance to prevent
coneinuous sale of goods ae "garage sales". COUl1c. holich thinks
it is iaportant to have this ordinance em the books to fall back On
when a probl8111 occurs. Counc. Jackson said he is DOe too sure there
has co be an ordinance for the entire City because one person has
violated the intent of a garage sale. Mayor !layers would like this
placed On ehe agenda for t-he second CouncillDeeting in April.
Counc,. Jackson said he has had discussions wieh C_eer COlDpueer
pe~~le and would like the City Council to consider paY1D& his plane
lare if he should fly down to Los Angeles to pursue chis. Mayor Meyers
felt this was appropriaee, and there were no objections from Council

culvert underneath Freeway 280 so that it could be used in conjunction
with a potencial hiking crail.
