There is no indication at this time as to whlch schools, nor how aany, will be closed. Counc. Nellis believes the City should be exploring how we would like to utilize those schools that are to be closed. Further, it should explore how auch it would cost to operate and maintain these sch"ols. Counc. J~k3on would like to see a little more imaginative use of these school sites. c-nc. Nellis said this is a c....unity problem, and she would l1ke the City to work wltb the School Board on this problc.. The Counèil aeaerally felt it would be a mistake to give up any of these school sites when there is the possibility of a need for thea in the future. The City Manager reviewed bis :eport of the Statewide Land Use Plan. He said that, basically, this plan tries to do a land use plan fro~ the around up.
