Counc. Frolich stated he ~ had several requests for reconsideratlon of
the bank on fireworks :In Cupertino, After dlscussion, the staff was asked
to notify the Public Safety Cœaisslon of the Council's intention
to discuss the po.s:1bllity of aaending the fire code to permit the
sale of fireworks vithiD the City and to request if that commission wishes
to review or aug.ent its recoaaendations. A public hearing by the City
Council on this aatter, 11a1ted to policy debate only, is scheduled for
.June 2, 1975.
The matter of a revised Council Salary Ordinance was introduced by
Counc. Meyers. The City Atto1."ney was requested to prepare a report
on thls for discussiGn duria¡ budget hearings.
There was a discusslon on the length of the City Council meetings and
SUllestions on how they could be shortened without deprivlng any
factions their input. It was sugaested the Council Members contact
the staff prior to the aeeting regarding matters on the agenda to
clarify any points covered in their packets.
