The site plans were placed on the bulletin board. They took into
consideration ma~y of the concerns raised previously. They now
propose a 16' landscaped strip spannin~ the entire length of
Stevens Creek Blvd. on the Cemco site. It will be heavily planted
wlth ~rees, shrubs and the mound inK will also aid in screening the I
cars in the parking lot. They also propose a canopy facade to the
entrance of the store. The new, 187 sq. ft. wall sign for the
building is within the existing ordinance. The amount of improve-
ments agreed to by CetIICO, in addition to the truck pit. represent
72% <'f the total cost of the project.
In regard to the mounding along Stevens Croek Blvd., Counc. Sparks
expressed concern over the problems being cxp~rienced by other
ccmr.erc ial developments with their mound ing. The appl icant has
indkated the mounding can be accomnlished on thls site without
those problems. .
Counc. Nellts observed that this may not be the ldeal thing the
City wishes to accomplish here, but it is a start.
