franchise contract. (Continued from October 22, 1915)
The City ~~nager sald the contract as prepared is acceptable to
the Los Altos Garbage Company. The violation of noise control
is covered in Article II, Section 2.30.
There ~as ~me discussion regarding Section 2.91, which states
the residential refuse shall be collected within 10 f~et of the
curb or street or at such other location approved by the City
Manager.
Counc. Frolich pointed out the most important concern of the
collectors is to not have to go through gates and into back yards
Counc. "eyers would like to add a clause to the effect that there
would be no extra charge to come back in the rare case where a
resident has forgotteD to put the cans out by the curb.

24. Subaission of written ~eport on the usage of City tennis
courts by private individuals who give lessons.
The Parks and Recreation Director stated the average wait for
use of the City's tennis courts is 20 minutes. He said the City'
classes are cheaper but larger.

recomoendation of the Parks and Recreation Director as to usage
of the City tennis courts.

The Director uf Administrative Services reported the results of
a survey of nearby cir'e~. No justification was found for change
in the present ordinance.
