Klausmeyer, Kowitz Motion carried, 3-0 APPLICATIONS' Application: 318-HC-68, Franchise Development..Corpa, 1345 El Camino Real, Burlingame, requesting Arch. & Site Control Approval to construct a "'Mr. Ed's" Restaurant, to be located on the southwest corner of Bubb Rd. Ext. and Stevens Creek Blvd. Mr. Harry Hinton from Franchise Development Corp., represented the application. Mr. Hinton stated that they are making a change on the roofing material from cedar shakes to concrete tile. They are requesting that the landscaping plan for the building and the parking lot area be presented to the Arch. & Site Control Cimmittee prior to final inspection of the building. The building is to be constructed of wood frame, white stucco with brown trim. The interior walls of the building will be covered with sheetrock and wood paneling. They intend to install a drop ceiling with fire retardant acoustical and recessed lighting fixtures. Concrete the roof will be either earth or brown colored. It was noted on the elevations that the fireplace will be constructed of slump stone. Mr. Hinton stated that the parapet roof will be covered with 19, the same roofing materials as the roof. Chairman Irwin asked the applicant where the apurtenances would be placed, and Mr. Hinton stated that all apurtenances will be hidden from view within the parapet area of the roof. Two 30 gal. trash containers will be housed within the building. It was noted on the Planning Dept. - H-Control check list that 17 car spaces will be required. Mr. Hinton stated they are planning to install a minimum of 18 car spaces at this time. The Committee requested that a concrete berm be installed around all landscaped areas. Moved by Comm. Aguilar, seconded by Comm. Fitch, to recommend for approval to the City Council Application 318-HC-68 per plans submitted with the following conditions: 1. Concrete tile roofing to be used 2. 10 standard conditions 3. Landscaping plans showing the concrete berms to be presented prior to final inspection of the building AYES: Comm.
