(cessation of truck traffic on Foothill Boulevard), that data was being

A brief discussion ensued concerning Item No. 15 (hi@:h-rise devdop"ent),

Mr. Leaf's letter,and it was requested by Mayor Stokes that a copy
of Mr. Ward's letter, dated March 31, 1971, be forwarded to ~r. Leaf t
for his information. Councilman Frolich mentioned that ~r. Leaf had
not been setting fortb views of the homeowners association in that he
vas no longer in affiliation with that group.
In connection witb Item 16 (appeal of Planning Commission decision),
it vas moved by Councilman Green, seconded by Councilman Fitzgerald
and passed unanimously that ratlficatìon be indicated fo= a publlc
bearjng on April 19th of the appeAl recently registered by ~r. Donovan.

Women urging City Council support of the Human Rights Commission.

concept only, and that upon formal presentation to the Board of
Supervlso~s, a draft of the actual proposed legislation be sub-
mitted for Council review.
City Kanager Quinlan supplemented his previous rLport by mentioning
that the Cities of Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, ~~untain View had offered
tbeir endorsement of the H.....n Rights CaDlllisslon and he recQIIIIDended
thAt ~be City of Cupertino do the same as related to concept.
Hr. Gary H11dretb, member of the Ad Hoc ComIIIi uee to es tabl1sh a
County Human Rigbta Coøa1ssion, requested positive support by the
City at tbis t1lDe for presentation to the Board of Supervisors.
Mayor Stokes indicated his agreement witb tbe concept,suggesting a
motion 1D support of the concept of tbe establishment of a Human

withdrawal from the contract.
