The Director of Administrati~e Services advised the ~:bers of
the City Council and êose present that the scheduled adjourned
meetings of the City Council for the purpose of hearings on the
land use element of the General Plan on July 17. :8 and 19 will
be convened at the ~ta Vista High School. ~ot~f~cation of
this has been given to the newspapers and to City staff.

The Mayor advised tha= the purpose of the adjourned meeting for
this ~ight was to go ~r the Proposed 1973-74 ore~ating and
Construction Budget a:1d to receive such input as a::."/ citizen
might want to make. :Ie then turnet\ the proceedi"¡;s o".er to the
City ~anager.
The City Manager advised those present that cert~n figures
within the proposed bu:¡;et should be corrected pu~su~t to re-
cent ri!-evaluations of the activities and advised u to the new
corrected amounts.
He noted that a representative from the Clacher c: Cor:=erce was
present ~~d suggested th~t the Mayor may wish to ~ear this
presentation first i:stead of keeping these persc~~ waiting
until this matter c:a:oe up in order. The Mayor cc::curred in the
sugge.tion.
Hr. Faye Jones, President of the Chamber of Coc:erce, introduced
other oecbers of the Board of Directors. At the conclusion of
the pri!sentation, a discussion was heard among the =e=bers of

and pas:;ed unanilDOusly that the 1973-74 Operating and Coa-
struction Budget, as pr_nted, be adopted subject to t."e changes
made by the City Council during the preceding review and with
the exception of the clepanøent head and City Manager salaries.
