Hr. Robert Chaney, 19766 Vicksburg, agreed with the su~gestion of only closing off Cold Harbor/Vicks~lr~ initially_ P.e said thet after school and very late at night th~re is ~ruising in the area. The concern of the citizens is the entr3nce to a pcbllc park at a blind ~omer. Hr. Dennis Palsogin stated that he lives on th3t side of that c:orner ioto that turn. He read soðe Qf the state~ents in the petition that was Signed by 118 people living in that area. This is on file at City Hall. He said the people sign~cl a stateæent that they approve the Director of Public Works' reco:mendation of , closing off Vicksburg/Cold Harbor for a sixty-d31 period. The people were against the charge of $12,COO. lie said nobody asked if this once-closed-off cul-<le-sac should be opened ur. They would like the sixty-day trial period first, and if it ~orks, then to come back to the City Council as to tne possibility of permanen closure. Mr. Carlson agreed that the safety of the children should be of prime concern, but tt.e method of accoM¡>l ishing lhis is in question.
