IV APPLICATION A. Application 92-HC-63.. John Rintala, 21705 Stevens Creek Blvd., Cupertino, resubmitting for Architectural and Site approval of change in original plan. (continued) Mr. Rintala submitted a rough sketch of his proposal, explain- ing that he has a good set of plans, done by a draftsman, but that the man is out of town and the plans were unavailable. He said he plans to have large exposed aggregate bowls for containers for the shrubs. Chairman Small explained that, without an official drawing, it makes it difficult for the Building Inspector to do his Job —'The Commission is willing to go along with the improve- ments, but it is necessary to have a detailed (not necessarily expensive) plan on which to base their decision. Mrs. Ann. Anger, 10185 Empire Avenue, Monta Vista, wanted to be sure that her objections to enlargment of this type of business along Stevens Creek Blvd. is recorded. Moved by Comm. RESCINDING ® ORDINANCES NOS. 002 (f) and.002 (t), REDEr WING.PP�OQEDURES FOR ARCHI- TECTURAL APPROVALS, CREATING A.CITY ARCHITECTURAL.REVIEW-BOARD, APPROVALS'COMMISSION,'PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT `OF MEMBERS THEREOF AND DEFINING THE POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID.COMMISSION AND PROVIDING FOR APPEAL PROCEDURES. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION.'I: PURPOSE .Section 1:1. SECTION 2: ESTABLISHMENT OF ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMISSION Section 2:1: An Architectural and. Site Plan Approval Commission is' hereby established. The Commission shall c.onsist.of five (5) members to'be appointed by the Mayor with the.approval of the City Council, as follows: (a) Five (5) members shall be appointed. Each member -shall be a qualified elector in and resident of the City of Cupertino. Members shall not serve on any other governing.or advisory body of.the City.of Cupertino. (b) The Chairman shall be elected'by a maj;ority.of-the Archi- tectural Control Commission to'serve for a period of one (1) year and may be re-elected by 2/3 majority vote of the Commissioners. (c) The members of the Architectural Review Commission shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years; such term may be rescinded by a majority vote of the City Council. Architectural Review Commissioners may be appointed to successive terms. (d) The Chief Building Inspector shall serve as Ex-officio is member.
