Feeling was unanimous that the H-Control Standard Check List be left in the Ord_nance o Mr. Small said that in four years, he can recall only one instance where advertisement of an application before the H-Control might have averted a problem. Mr. Nuzum said he was in -favor -of the idea behind Section 6.2, but feels it places an undue hardship, timewvLse, on the applicant. By leaving in the entire Section 6?2 .as- proposed by the Planning Commission, it would work a hardship on the Building Department. There will be steps in the front and rear from the parking lot to the deck:, The tar and gravel roof will be flat with parapet walls. Individt,a air conditioning units will be set on top, at the rear o' each unite It was pointed out that the Building Code cal 1s for a 30" parapet on the pro- perty lines. After considerable discussion, it was decided there would be a screen across the rear of the building to hide the air conditioners, the same height as the parapet. The building exterior will be grey block and glass, with charcoal trim. Landscaping will consist 6f'two on -site trees and some low growing shrubs in the front of the building and the front of the parking lot. Grades have been set to the building next door. There will be lights in front and under the canopy. Since the adjacent property will undoubtedly go commercial, it was decided the Committee will ask the Council to waive the required masonry wall on -the west side.' The free stand-ing sign will be a simple reader board. Plans have not been completed regarding the signs, so they would like to have them reviewed i at a later date.
