It was brought to the attention of the Committee that
the City Manager had received a telephone call from
Mr. Rampy indicating that he wished to resign from the
H-Control Committee, effective immediately.

Architectural & Site Control Approval of the land-
scaping plan for the Sanctuary.
Mr. G. H. Rodkey, Jr., 889 Kumick Way, Sunnyvale, and
Reverend Robert Fraley,.5.147 Forest View Drive, San Jose,
presented, copies 'of the landscape . plan on Plan L-1 to the
Committeemen. They said they plan to have their final
inspection at the end.of this week,..-.
Mr. Rodkey pointed out. that .the only change from the archi-
tect's original plans is for some of the plants; and.this
was upon the advice of their nurseryman.
The State has put ina 41 monolithic sidewalk here, adjacent
to the freeway overpass, so there actually is no.'place to
put in street trees.- There are tree.s'`on site, however.

Control Approval to construct an addition to the
Drive -In Dairy, located at 22280 Homestead Road.
Mr. Herbert Aronsen, 214150 Columbus Avenue, Cupertino,sub-
mitted the plans for another building, identical to tho
existing one, which will go directly behind the present one,
with a 14' high arcade �etween them to provide.shelter for
unloading in inclement weather.
There was considerable discussion of the construction of the
arcade. The applicant was complimented on his present
building and was advised to try to maintain this high
standard throughout.
It was decided to postpone the approval of the arcade until
the applicant has had alchance to confer,with his engineer.
Since the rear storage building is identical with the exist-
ing building; it was decided to act upon it so as not to
hold up construction.

recommended for approval, subject to the 10 Standard Condi-

Mr. Cook said these duplexes will sell for approximately
.$45,000 and;will be compatible with homes in the surrounding
. '.subdivisions•....Fronts and backs of the duplexes will be
.individually fenced and landscaped. All buildings will be
one-story with exterior materials of wood, stucco, brick,
stone, and heavy shake roofing materials. Because of the
shape of the lots, these will be - long, narrow buildings.
Mr. & Mrs. Donald Mahoney, 10439 Cherry'Tree Lane, and
Mr. Roger P. McElliott, 10438 Vista Drive, are interested
neighbors who came to this meeting to see what type of duplexes
are actually going to be built here. They said they were
pleased with what they learned at this meeting and feel the
duplexes will be compatible with the neighborhood.
Mr. Cook added: "There is not going to be onething in
these duplexes that is Mickey Mouse." He pointed out all
the deluxe features.
