RESOLUTION NO. 80 (Minute Order)
A RESOLUTION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO
WHEREAS, representatives of the State Division of Highways have
presented landscape drawings to this body for review relative
to the landscaping of,a portion of Route 85, and
WHEREAS, this Committee at its regular meeting of July 21, 1971,
reviewed the proposed landscape scheme.
THEREFORE, this Committee recommends approval of the landscaping
to the City Council for the freeway, Route'85, between Stevens
Creek Blvd. and Junipero Serra Freeway, as per the plans sub-
mitted with -the following recommendations:
1. That the State undertake to provide additional trees
of larger sizes along the westerly side of.the freeway
adjacent to the residential areas of Alhambra Drive
and Somerset Square.
2. That there be increased landscaping of shrubs and trees
on the two ramps, entrance and exit to Stevens Creek
Blvd.
3. That the undesignated mounded area between the on ramps
and off ramps to.Stevens Creek Blvd. should be land-
scaped in some manner.
4. That the City Council should investigate all avenues
in an attempt to obtain installation of proposed
landscaping prior to the January 1973 date indicated
by the State representatives.
All conditions outlined herein are subject to the approval of
the City Council and their action is required for final approval
of this application.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 1971, at a regular
meeting of the Architectural and Site Approval Committee of
the City of Cupertino, State of California, by the following
roll call vote:
