DENYING, DUE TO THE LACK OF THE MAJORITY
NECESSARY FOR APPROVAL, A SIGN PROGRAM AND
GROUND SIGN FOR AN EXISTING C014MERCIAL CENTER.

LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northeast corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard in the
Monta Vista area (21749 Stevens Creek Boulevard).

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to
this application:
l.. The.proposed ground sign is not consistent with the Monta Vista character
as described in the Stevens Creek Boulevard Plan Line Study (PIonta Vista
Specific Plan). An externally litwood sign would be more appropriate.
2. The amount of ground sign area devoted to Mitchell Bros. Auto Parts is
inconsistent with the intent of Sign Ordinance No. 746. The intent of
allowing a 42 sq. ft. sign is that several tenants may appear on the sign.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of December, 1982, at a regular meeting of the
Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
