Reso 10304-U-82 RESOLUTION NO. 1030 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMrSITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO APPROVING BUILDING COLOR, TEXTURE, PAVING AND LANDSCAPING PLAN FOR A 28,000 SQ. FT. OFFICE/COMMERCIAL BUILDING. PROPERTY OWNER: U. A. Tambellini APPLICANT: William K. Kelley ADDRESS: 305 Lytton Avenue, Palo Alto, California 94301 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Northwest corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and North De Anza Boulevard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINDINGS: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this application: 1. The proposal is consistent with Planning Commission Resolution No. 2316. 2. The proposal meets the following City objectives: a. The landscaping screens/softens the building. b. The plaza area is oriented to pedestrian activities. ® C. The building provides a transition from the prevailing suburban character west of De Anza Boulevard to the urban emphasis of the future Town Center. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits A, B, C, and C-1 and color board -of this application.except-as may be.amended by special conditions contained herein. Optional materials and final color are subject to staff approval. 9. The applicant shall provide a pedestraan access agreement for the sidewalk and plaza prior to building permit approval. This agreement shall be subject to the approval of the Public Works Department. 10. A bench shall be provided on the northwest side of the planter fronting Stevens Creek Boulevard. The bench shall be constructed of materials compatible with the planter. 11. The planters shall not exceed curb height adjacent to the street. The depth to which this maximum height shall be maintained is subject to the approval of the Public Works Department. 12. The height of the movable pots is subject to staff approval. Staff shall review pot height to ensure pedestrian safety. Street trees shall be . - 1 - • Resolution No. 1030 4-U-82 24" box or greater in size. 13. The applicant shall be responsible for maintenance of the paving stones both on site and in the public right-of-way. A maintenance agreement shall be provided prior to building permit approval.
