OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL
COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A SIGN PROGRAM MODIFICATION AND A
SIGN EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.1 OF THE SIGN
ORDINANCE TO ALLOW ONE TENANT TWO BUILDING
MOUNTED SIGNS AND SPACE ON AN EXISTING GROUND SIGN.

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this
application:
1. The exception is not inconsistent with the intent of Sign Ordinance No. 746.
2. The two building -mounted signs shall not be visible from De Anza Boulevard.
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:
1-7. Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the
special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does
exist, the special conditions as enumerated herein shall apply.
8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibit A of Application
HC-51,466.1 as may be amended by additional conditions contained -herein::.
9. This approval includes the steps and sign C-.as shown in"Exhib.it.A.
10. This approval does not include sign A. The existing ground sign between
Taco Bell and Paul's Restaurant may remain, however.
11. Sign B shall be modified to consist of individual raised gold letters
mounted on the Redwood facia. The letters shall spell out the name of the
building, but not the names of individual tenants.
12. Tenants may be listed on the building wall below sign B. This sign may be
larger than the sign size normally attributed to directory signs (approximately
4 sq. ft.).
13. Details of Sign B and the listing of tenants on the building wall are subject
to staff approval.
