Reso 1021HC-51,199.3 RESOLUTION NO. 10.21 OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF EXCEPTION TO SECTION 6.03.3(c) OF SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 746 TO ALLOW THE COMBINED AREA OF TWO GROUND SIGNS TO EXCEED 200 SQ. FT. PROPERTY OWNER: Ron Cali APPLICANT: Pettibone Signs ADDRESS: 15 Janis Way, Scotts Valley, California 95066 LOCATION OF PROPERTY: West side of De Anza Boulevard approximately 550 ft. north of McClellan Road. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINDINGS: The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this application: 1. Pines along north property line block visibility of building to southbound traffic. The building will be almost completely hidden when trees reach maturity. 2. Ground signs along this section of De Anza Boulevard are spaced well apart due to the large lots located here.. As a result, the proposed sign is ® 160 ft. from the existing Downey Savings sign and 210 ft. from the McClellan Square sign. 0 3. Applicant is limited to a ground sign of approximately 15 sq. ft. per side if the combined total for all sides of the proposed sign and McClellan Square sign is to remain under the 200 sq. ft. allowed. Fifteen square feet is inadequate to meet applicant's signing needs. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions enumerated herein shall apply. 8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits B and F of Application HC-51,199.3 except as may be amended by special conditions contained herein. 9. The ground sign's height shall not exceed 10 ft. 10. Wall logo shown on front elevation of Exhibit B is not approved. 11.
