RESOLUTION NO. 1015
OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE
APPROVAL COMMITTEE OF THE CITY
OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING ARCHITECTURAL,
SITE, LANDSCAPING, LIGHTING, AND SIGNING
APPROVAL FOR AN 8,000 SQ. FT. SANCTUARY
TO BE ADDED TO AN EXISTING CHURCH.

LOCATION OF PROPERTY: Southeast corner of Homestead Road and Linnet Lane.

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to this
application:
1. The proposal is consistent with Planning Commission Resolution No. 1503.
CONDITIONS:
1-7. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that
they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein. In
® the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions enumerated herein
shall apply.
8. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits A, B, B-1, B-2, B-3,
C, D, and E of this application except as may be amended by special
conditions contained herein.
9. This approval is for Phase I construction only. It does not include
modifications to the existing church building, except that the existing
building shall be repainted.
10. The trash enclosure shall be constructed of the same material as the
masonry wall. In addition, prior to the building permit approval, the
applicant shall demonstrate how the storage of newspapers and recyclable
materials shall be controlled.
11. Lighting is subject to staff approval. Staff shall review for impact on
adjoining residential neighborhood.
12. One wall sign is approved. Applicant may choose one of the two existing
wall signs or one of the 25 ft. x 12 ft. signs shown in Exhibit B of this
application. The existing signs not chosen shall be removed.
13. The temporary trailer and two temporary sheds shall be removed prior to
occupancy.
14. The six parallel parking spaces on the east property line are required at
this time. The parallel parking spaces on Linnet Lane are to be deleted.

15. Landscaping in the southeast corner of the property and major trees
along the east side of the building shall be required at this time as
shown in Exhibit B-2, lst Revision of Application 3-Z-76. Remainder
of landscaping is subject to Architectural and Site Approval Committee
review in conjunction with subsequent phases.
16. Three trees shall be planted in the temporary parking lot area. Concrete
wheel stops shall be installed and the lot shall be striped with buttons.
17. The landscape strip fronting on Homestead Road shall be landscaped.
18. The plants in the southeast corner of the property adjacent to the trash
enclosure shall be modified to Pine trees to match the existing Pines.

Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the City of Cupertino, State of
California, by the following roll call vote:
