OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMENDING APPROVAL
TO EXCEPTION TO SECTION 19345.40 (Al) OF SAN JOSE
ZONING CODE TO ALLOW FREESTANDING SIGN ON A SITE
THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED MINIMUM STREET
FRONTAGE.

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with respect to
this application:
1. That the existence of a specimen Redwood tree on this site precludes the
applicant from attaining adequate identity by means of building -mounted
signing.
2. That the granting of this exception is consistent with the purpose and
intent of the City of Cupertino Sign Ordinance.
® CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL:

1-8. Architectural and Site Approval Standard Conditions to the extent that
they do not conflict with the special conditions enumerated herein.
In the event a conflict does exist, the special conditions as enumerated
herein shall apply.
9. The recommendation of approval is based upon Exhibits F and Informational
of Application HC-51,526.1 except as may be amended by special conditions
contained herein.
10. ASAC or its staff shall retain the authority to review and require
correction of any off -site lighting impacts for the sign approved under
this application.
11. An automatic time clock shall be installed to turn the sign illumination off
at midnight.
