APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. Approval of the Draft Minutes of November 25, 2019
Motion: Commissioner Matley motioned and Commissioner Chokshi seconded the
motion to approve the minutes from the November 25, 2019 meeting. Motioned
approved 4-0.

2. Subject: Commission proposals for FY 2020-21 City Work Program

Commissioners discussed the Commission proposals for the FY 2020-21 City Work
Program. Commissioner discussed continuing existing Artist Award Programs
(Distinguished, Emerging, and Young Artist), and the Art in Unexpected Places work
program. Commissioners discussed adding an Art Festival and Art Talks to the
upcoming City Work Program. Commissioner Matley motioned and Commissioner
Dhami seconded to propose the following FY 2020-21 City Work Program items:

• Art in Unexpected Places
• Artist Award Programs (if not already included in the Commission's budget)
• Art Festival
• Art Talks
Motioned approved 4-0
STAFF AND COMMISSION REPORTS
• Commissioner Matley discussed the Wall Mural Contest rules with the commissions, and
asked for the Commissioners to be prepared for a discussion in the next Fine Arts
Commission meeting (January 27, 2020).
• Commissioners discussed the Young Arts Award, and the next steps. Commissioners
discussed the materials and steps needed to have the artwork go up by February 1, 2020 at
the Cupertino Library.
ADJOURNMENT
Vice-Chair Kasamsetty adjourned the meeting at 7:55 p.m. of the special meeting on January 13,
2020 at City Hall, Conference Room C.
