IIIP OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE APPROVAL COMMITTEE
ITTEE
OF THE CITY OF CUPERTINO RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
AN AMENDNIEN'T TO AN APPROVED LANDSCAPING PLAN AND
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT SIGN PROGRAM AND APPROVAL TO A
PROPOSED LIGHTING PROGRAM AND RECONFIGURATION OF
PLANTER STRIP PROPOSAL

FINDINGS:
The Architectural and Site Approval Committee finds as follows with regard
to this application:
1) The proposed sign color and material palette are compatible with the
existing building architecture and color.
2) The locations of the proposed monument signs meet the spirit and intent
of the sign setback policy.
CONDITIONS:
1-8) Standard Architectural and Site Approval Committee conditions to the
extent that they do not conflict with the special conditions listed
herein. In the event of conflict, the specific conditions listed
herein shall prevail.
9) This approval is based upon Sheets L71, Al, A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5 dated
February 5, 1990 of Application ASAC 51,885.2, except as may be
amended by conditions enumerated herein.
10) The five Mexican Fan Palm Trees approved at the January 8, 1990
hearing for the median cobblestone strip at the main entrance along
Stevens Creek Boulevard will not be installed nor will they be
replaced by another tree species.
11) Three monument signs are approved. Sign detail Sheet A-5, dated
February 5, 1990 shall be referenced for building material, letter
style, size and location for installation. The words "Stevens Creek
Boulevard" are to be removed from the address portion of the monument
signs leaving the address digits only.
12) The lighting for the proposed monument signs and roof will be
prohibitive of glare and shall not reflect into oncoming traffic or
residences in the vicinity of the project site. The lighting should
be directed in such a manner as to conform to this condition. The
roof mounted lights shall each be 50 watts maximum.

13) The roof-mounted lights shall be painted to match the color of the
roofing material for visual integration. The proposal is for an 8" X
8" fixture. The Committee does not approve this size but directs the
applicant to use the smallest sized fixture for aesthetics but
adequate enough in size to achieve lighting needs. Applicant to work
with Staff in choosing an appropriate sized fixture.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of February, 1990 at a regular mooting of
the Architectural and Site Approval Committee of the Cityof Cupertino,
State of California, by the following roll call vote:
