Dear City Manager Feng,
Longer e-mail will follow in a few hours. Sending this extract from a
short version that I just shared with other residents so you have some info
before tonight's CCC meeting.
"After first driving the loop, I spent 75 minutes before Noon today walking the loop (both sides of Wolfe) between Vallco
Parkway and Pruneridge. I then did a 1/2 loop on the Vallco (west) side of Wolfe with my 12X camera. I took 86 photos
including ~ 20 with a 3X ‐ 12X telephoto lens. Before my walk, I would have failed a quiz on these physical spaces. I will
now get a 100.
I will e‐mail our City Manager this afternoon with my observations. Primary one is that there is 100s (more like 1000s) of
sqft of space (City easement space) near the larger homeless encampment. There is a 15' wide strip of dirt/grass
between the road curb and the concrete sidewalk that runs for 100s of feet on the East side. FYI, both encampments
are on the East side of Wolfe Road and looked well kept when I walked by. I saw no one outside at either camp, and
only saw three others (men) at a distance walking the sidewalks during my walk loops.
Lisa Warren mentioned porta‐potties behind Vallco's green fence. Here they are with their adjacent hand‐washing
station and trash container (~ 12X Photo). This setup is just what our city needs to provide to the homeless. Zoom in to
see more detail on the hand‐washing station. It looks to be the same design as the ones I have recently used at local
Parks".

Before driving home, I purchased bagels and cheese at Nosh Bagels on Vallco Parkway, 50' away from my parked
car. Young woman employee was masked as I was and we kept our 6' spacing. I was in and out in three minutes. I hope
all our re‐opened Cupertino businesses do the same masking and spacing for months to come.
