The documents represent presentations for Cupertino residents Ken, Ram and Gary. We will keep the presentation to 8-9 minutes for these 3 individuals. Thanks! Ken 8/18/2020 1 McClellan Road Bike Separation  Project Phase 2 Homeowners 20601 through  20771 McClellan Rd Aug 18, 2020 5‐6 min by Ken and Ram Homes impacted in Phase 2 McClellan Project •Black Star indicates start of Phase 1 and finish Phase 2. •Few homes impacted by complete removal of on street parking and bicycle lane barriers in front  of homes in Phase 1.   •Punch line;  Small number of homes in Phase 2 asking for some concession.  Green Line below. 1 2 8/18/2020 2 Homes and residents •13 homes affected, approx $26M‐$32M value at present day. •Side street homes also affected with proposed eliminating on street parking. •Several 20+ year homeowners, Janet, Bill, Joyce, more, to name a few. •Primarily active tech workers with and without families, some retired, but  all with concern for bicycle safety and traffic control. •Have enjoyed street parking and privacy for many many previous years. •Many homeowners are bicycle enthusiast and advocate for bicycle safety. •Our ask is: •Retention of some interval for on street parking for our convenience;  service  providers and family/friends. •Proper bicycle lane markings and signage, which does not exist today, and no barriers  in front of our homes which eliminates on street parking, and invades our privacy. Process to date •Phase 2 not clearly socialized with homeowners. •Many homeowners did not understand complete scope until recently. •Vote by City Council on 21 Jul was not a complete process as homeowners  were with not available or misrepresented;  one City official stated only 2  residents had concerns with the project when more had been submitted. •City Council did good roundtable of questions though but homeowners  core issues with on street parking and bicycle lane barriers not resolved. •Quick vote resulting in award of Phase 2 contract was premature. •Neighborhood meeting 11 Aug at City Manager and Homeowners request. 3 4 8/18/2020 3 Neighborhood meeting 11 Aug at City Manager  and Homeowners request •10 of 13 homeowners present.  1 home For Sale.  1 homeowner represented by  another.  1 homeowner not present but language was an issue. •All homeowners present voiced concerns and made recommendations to City  team;  City Manager, Transportation Manager, Public Works, to name a few. •At no time did City communicate that bicycle lane barriers were a must have. •City team was receptive to consider Homeowners recommendations though. •Email from City team on 17 Aug was Bicycle barriers were a must and that if  homeowners wanted to retain some level of street parking that the street verge  would have to be removed (street lights, fire hydrants, trees, existing signage),  pending additional budget approval (homeowners don’t want street verge  removed). •Homeowners seeking voted City Council members to help mediate.
