Receive the resignation from Technology, Information, and Communications Commissioner
Charlon McIntosh, and direct staff to initiate the process to fill the unscheduled vacancy.
BACKGROUND
Commissioner Charlon McIntosh has notified staff of her resignation effective immediately. This
creates an unscheduled vacancy with a term ending January 2008. There are six applications on
file, up to a year old, from people who had expressed an interest in serving on the Technology,
Information, and Communications Commission, and they will receive specific notice of the new
vacancy.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council include this vacancy in the annual recruitment process.
Announcements are made in the November and December issues of the Cupertino Scene and
interviews will be held in mid-January.

Dear City Manager:
With this letter, I hereby submit my resignation £rom the City of Cupertino Technology,
Information and Communications Commission effective immediately, due to the fact that
I am no longer a Cupertino resident; therefore, I am no longer eligible to hold a position
on this commission.
It was my pleasure to serve as a commissioner for the last couple of years.
